With six La Liga titles, Valencia are one of the most successful teams in the league’s history and have been a mainstay of Spain’s top-flight since the 1980s. They also have a reputation for their strong system of developing players through their academy system. 

David Silva and Juan Mata passed through the academy doors in the 2000s, while Jordi Alba, Isco, Juan Bernat, Ferran Torres and Jose Gaya are more recent graduates to represent Spain at an international level. 

We traveled to Valencia’s state-of-the-art Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna training facility to speak to their Academy Head of Performance Analysis and Women’s Team Analyst to understand how they are using the brand new Focus Flex portable camera to improve their quality of analysis and player development by delivering a whole new angle on video capture and performance review.
