After You Hit the Court
Upload Video & Scoresheets
Open the match entry on Volleymetrics and click Upload on the right-hand side. You’ll be prompted to select the video or scoresheet file from your computer.
- Video
- We recommend recording from behind the service line with both antennae visible. After the match, separate video files should be merged and be smaller than 3GB. Here’s more information on merging and compressing video.
- Scoresheet
- An image of the official scoresheet, with all sets included, needs to be uploaded for a match to be analyzed. If you’re unable to locate the scoresheet for a match you want analyzed, Match Details (P2), Match Reports or DVW files are also accepted.
Review & Comment
In less than 24 hours after submission, you’ll see a green checkmark next to your video. This indicates you can now watch, filter and comment.
Comments are private to your own team. Tag any of your players or coaches by first name (@allison), or even a group of people (@liberos, @coaches). Those tagged will receive a notification and are able to jump straight to that point in the video, then respond to your comment.
As you review video, please keep in mind rotations are labeled using the American naming convention.
Download & Share
Click Download on the right-hand side of the video player to save match video to your computer. Based on your league rules and whether or not you participate in the International Open Exchange, your matches may already be automatically shared. If not, you can share video directly.
Download a DVW File
We don’t use Data Volley to break down matches, but our codes are compatible. If you purchased DVW files as part of your subscription, you’ll be able to download the DVW for a match after it has been analyzed. Just click Download DVW to the right of the video.
Stats, Reports & Visual Analytics
Once a match is analyzed, you’ll have its stats, reports and visual analytics. This includes the opponent matches you have access to.
Stats and visual analytics are only available online, but your reports can be downloaded as PDFs.

Install and Test Your Volleymetrics Camera
This device must be installed and functioning before you add your schedule. If you need to change the view, or if the camera does not pass the portal test, these troubleshooting options can help.
Pro tip: It’s always a good idea to record your match with a backup camera in case of any issues.
Add Events
Use these steps to add or edit matches and practices to the Volleymetrics portal. We recommend you include:
- Your home matches
- Neutral matches at your venue
- Any away matches at schools that don’t use Volleymetrics
Your conference will have exchange rules that dictate what you are responsible for adding. Please double-check those guidelines to avoid any penalties.
