WICHITA, Kan. (June 15, 2021) — The
Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference has agreed to a three-year partnership with BlueFrame Technology to be the conference's official video streaming provider, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Fans will be able to access live video broadcasts of contests of its member institutions over BlueFrame's custom KCAC Network platform. The KCAC Network will provide fans easy access to watch regular-season and conference championship events online or over streaming applications.
The KCAC Network website will be available prior to the fall semester, along with streaming applications for television and mobile devices, including Android TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku (TV), iOS, Android (mobile), and Amazon Fire Tablet. More information about the website and apps will be made available prior to the fall semester.
BlueFrame provides end-to-end software, streaming, and event production services that empower athletic programs to grow their brands, attract talent, reach fans and earn revenue. The BlueFrame vCloud streaming platform sends content to custom apps, websites, social destinations, and third-party software systems. BlueFrame's Production Truck software allows one producer to manage cameras, graphics, replays, social sharing, picture-in-picture, and more.
"First, I want to give credit where credit is due and thank the conference video streaming working group of sports information directors and athletics directors that reviewed our options and selected BlueFrame as the KCAC's best option beginning this fall. Based on that recommendation, it was a simple decision for our Governing Council to approve that recommendation, " stated Dr. Scott Crawford, KCAC Commissioner. "I am convinced BlueFrame is the right service for the KCAC and our member institutions to connect with fans, families and friends of our student-athletes, and the general public. It is exciting to know more people than ever will be able to witness the great competition in the conference and our overall commitment to character-driven athletics."
"BlueFrame Technology is very proud to partner with the KCAC and it's member colleges and universities," said Mark Krug, BlueFrame Director of Partnerships. "Transitioning to our Production Truck software and streaming platform will result in better quality and availability of live event broadcasts across the conference, which will enable more fans and communities to stay engaged with their favorite KCAC teams and student-athletes."
