Hudl is focusing on employee benefits that support the changing demographics of its workforce.
Lincoln, NE (March 21, 2022) - Hudl has begun planning and construction of an on-site childcare facility to offer world-class childcare service to employees in their Haymarket headquarters.
With an ever-changing employee talent landscape and evolving employee demographics, Hudl continues to review and adjust their benefit offerings. The goal is to support their workforce where it matters most.
“Just in the last year, we added nearly 50 Hudlie children, including one of my own,” said David Graff, Hudl CEO and co-founder. “This is awesome to see, and highlights just how important it is to evolve our offerings to meet what our employees need and attract great talent to the Hudl team. We strive to not only be the best place to work, but the best place to work for parents.”
The facility will be located on the first level of Hudl’s global headquarters at 600 P Street and will feature 7,000 square feet of indoor learning and purposeful play space, an outdoor area and multiple age-specific classrooms to serve infants through pre-K. “As we attract and retain great talent, this center will ease the burden of finding quality child care by partnering with a provider that I’m confident will provide great care for the smallest members of the Hudl family,” said Graff.
The school will be in partnership with Primrose Schools®, a leader in early education and care. With multiple locations in Nebraska and one in Lincoln, Primrose Schools are part of a national system of accredited private preschools that provide a premier early education and child care experience for children and families. “We’re excited about this opportunity to partner with Hudl. Our teachers and caregivers are ready to spark lightbulb moments with each child and build lasting relationships with the Hudl families,” said Dr. Betsy Tonniges, Primrose franchise owner and operator.
Hudl employees will have priority enrollment when the school opens in early 2023. “As a current Primrose family, I can’t say enough great things about the teachers and staff,” said Kari Schmitz,
Hudl legal counsel. “Imagine my joy when I discovered that Hudl is putting Primrose on the premises! This gives Hudlies the chance to provide their children with top-notch opportunities that will positively impact their well-being for years to come. I hope that Hudl’s investment in its employees and their kids is something that can be replicated by other businesses in Lincoln and beyond.”
If space remains available, Hudl’s corporate partners and other downtown Lincoln businesses will have the opportunity to enroll.
On-site childcare is one of many employee benefits recently announced by Hudl, along with an expanded Employee Assistance Program (EAP), work from anywhere benefit, extended parental leave, company-wide closures twice a year, and scheduled meeting-free days to further support work-life balance and employee mental health. These benefits impact the employee experience and are all part of Hudl’s flexibility philosophy, which already includes benefits like unlimited vacation, sabbaticals, professional development, daily lunch, flexible work hours and a hybrid work environment.
“We’re committed to our employees and are continually evolving our benefit offerings to support Hudlies’ changing needs,” said Graff.
