Dig Deep: YETI Shines with Top 5 Volleyball Series
YETI, the premium outdoor gear brand, made a statement as the inaugural Top 5 Volleyball sponsor, shining a spotlight on the best girls’ volleyball plays every week during the 2023 high school season.
In 2023, YETI tapped in to the world's largest high school sports video platform as the presenting brand sponsor for Hudl Top 5 Volleyball, a weekly series featuring girls’ high school volleyball—which became the No. 1 livestreamed fall sport for the first time in Hudl’s history, and the No. 1 growth fall sport. YETI was looking to deepen their support of girls’ sports, and found a fresh way to connect with a highly engaged audience of high school sports fans who are passionate about their communities.
Hudl’s platform has a unique depth of video coverage of high school girls’ sports, and the series showcased thrilling moments from thousands of matches captured by Hudl’s Focus camera technology. The sheer volume of jaw-dropping plays, saves, serves, blocks and digs would overwhelm most production teams.
The incredible plays were curated from across Hudl’s video library, and were compiled and shared with thousands of fans each week on Hudl. YETI’s sponsorship paired 60-second brand episodes with bumper spawns, custom branded graphics and end cards. The season averaged 34K+ views per episode, with one episode garnering over 48K views.
In addition to the naming sponsorship of the Top 5 Volleyball series, YETI leveraged Hudl’s advertising platform to connect further with the sports fan community through pre-and-mid-roll video during livestreams and Hudl highlights. With 62% of Gen Z fans saying they would watch more women’s games if they were easier to find (according to AdWeek), the Hudl platform is unmatched in its ability to engage with multiple generations of consumers.
“Hudl is a fan’s favorite place online. We’re proud our partnership helped connect more fans with the YETI brand through new, creative and inspiring ways,” shared Adam Gouttierre, Hudl’s VP of Fan.
As well as their online presence with Hudl, YETI is supporting the women's volleyball community in other ways too—such as partnering with events like the Triple Crown NIT volleyball tournament earlier this year.
